Getting Here

Car

Armourgeddon is located on the A5199 (Leicester Road) around 1 mile North of Husbands Bosworth, which is midway between Lutterworth and Market Harborough, Leicestershire.

We are easy to find from M1 (J20), head east on A4304 toward Market Harborough, you’ll pass through; Walcote, North Kilworth and then at Husbands Bosworth follow the brown tanks signs for Armourgeddon.

There is ample free parking available on-site.

Bus

Husbands Bosworth is on Route 58 ‘Lutterworth to Market Harborough’ provided by Arriva buses, with services every 1.5hr to 2hrs.

Armourgeddon is located 1 mile from Husbands Bosworth along the A5199, please be aware that this road has no path and there is danger from traffic so walking to Armourgeddon from the village is not advisable.

Train

The nearest train station is Market Harborough, which is around 1 hour from London (St Pancras). The station is on the Midland Mainline which goes from London to Sheffield with stations including; Kettering, Derby, Nottingham and Sheffield.

A 20-minute taxi ride will bring you to Armourgeddon. We’d recommend booking in advance with a local company such as:

By appointment, you can land on our helipad (ok, it’s just a field), please contact us in advance to organise this.

Museum Opening Times

Open Wednesday to Sunday, April – end October | 10:00 hrs – 16:00 hrs

Also open on Bank Holiday Mondays from April onwards

Group bookings are available throughout the year, however, advanced booking is required.

Admission

For general visitors it’s just £12.00 admission and FREE for under fives.

No Dogs Except Guide Dogs. All children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an adult.

If you are participating in an Armourgeddon activity, either as a participant or passenger, you will automatically gain free entry to the Museum on the day.

Café

No museum visit is complete without a visit to our small souvenir shop and catering facilities. We serve delicious sandwiches and snacks and a range of hot and cold drinks.

Groups

We cater for groups of all kinds, be it corporate groups, clubs (Scouts, Guides etc) and schools, please contact us so we can create a package for you.

Access

Armourgeddon Military Museum is accessible throughout for wheelchair users, although some areas may be more difficult than others. There are seating areas available for general use near the Café.

Toilets

Toilet facilities are available on site, with disabled access.

Picnics

Feel free to bring a picnic and you can use our tables and seating or eat outside overlooking the tank driving course. On selected days you will see tanks on manouvres

Tank Driving / Rides

Tank driving and tank rides are brilliant fun for boys and girls from 8 to 80 yrs

Spectators

You can see tanks and vehicles on manoeuvres from our Café and outdoor spectator area on most Saturdays and Sundays and selected Wednesdays.

Bring your camera, Photography and Video recording is allowed throughout the museum.
